Dine ('virtually') with Dirk? | DFW Airport opening 'Nowitzki' bar and restaurant in 2023

The bar and restaurant will feature a "virtual reality experience" that allows customers to interact with the 2011 NBA Finals MVP.

DALLAS — When you're flying into Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) next year, there will be a brand new attraction: a Dirk Nowitzki-themed bar and restaurant!

The DFW Airport Board approved "Nowitzki" on Thursday, which will be coming to Terminal C in the summer of 2023, airport officials announced.

The DFW airport tweeted a video giving everyone a sneak peek at what it'll look like:

The restaurant will be operated through a partnership with D&B Mitchell Group.

The menu for the restaurant will include an international variety of foods, including some German-inspired dishes like chicken schnitzel, bratwurst with sauerkraut and German potato salad, according to the D&B Mitchell Group website.

Nowitzki came to Dallas in the 1998 NBA Draft and spent his entire 21-year career with the Mavericks and had his jersey numbers for both the Mavs and the German national team retired
