DALLAS — Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) announced that it will soon be transitioning to cashless payments at its Exit Plazas to streamline transactions.
According to a statement from DFW, the transition to digital payments will help reduce wait times and keep traffic flowing. Which, the airport said, will aid traffic, especially during peak travel seasons.
DFW Airport said customers will have several ways to pay which they should find fast and convenient.
"Toll tags offer the quickest exit, while credit and debit cards, along with contactless options like Apple Pay and Google Pay, provide additional flexibility," DFW Airport said.
According to the airport, this transition will go into effect on Feb. 1, 2025.
DFW Airport said travelers planning extended stays are encouraged to utilize prebooking and prepaying online for an even more seamless experience.
"Beyond customer convenience, digital payments bring significant efficiency to our operations by reducing cash handling and associated administrative tasks, allowing us to focus more resources on delivering exceptional service," DFW Airport said.
