DALLAS — You'll be hard-pressed to spend less than $20 per day on parking at Love Field this holiday season.
Dallas Love Field announced it is increasing daily parking rates starting Oct. 18, according to a press release from the airport.
Love Field cites "growing capacity constraints and operational expenses" as the reasoning behind the increase. Departures out of Love Field have increased to nearly 9 million passengers annually, according to the release. Cars are staying parked in airport garages longer and airports around the country are seeing increased demand for parking, the release states.
"As such, the airport’s garages continue reaching capacity, particularly during the holidays," the release reads. "Due to being landlocked and no current available space to build, another parking garage is not possible."
Most parking garage rates will increase by between $5 and $8.
- Garage A - from $16 to $24 (all levels);
- Garage B - from $10 to $18 (uncovered), from $13 to $21 (covered);
- Garage C - from $13 to $20 (uncovered), from $16 to $21 (covered), and from $25 to $30 (premium level); and
- Valet - from $28 to $35
The airport built its third garage after parking demand far exceeded supply over the Thanksgiving holiday in 2014, the release states. The airport currently has 12,000 parking spaces.
The Airport has previously increased parking rates in 2022. Hourly rates will increase proportionally to the new daily rates. The first hour in Garage C will remain free for the first hour.
