DALLAS — The Texas Department of Transportation will host a public meeting on July 11 about proposed improvements to Interstate 30 for the impacted community members across three Dallas County cities.

The proposed project would improve an approximately 12-mile stretch of I-30 from Ferguson Road to Bass Pro Drive. That section of the interstate impacts Dallas, Mesquite and Garland.

In the proposed plan, I-30 would have six to 12 main lanes, with three to six travel lanes in each direction, varying throughout the 12-mile stretch. Other improvements include a 10-foot shared use path on either side for bicyclists and pedestrians, zero to two reversible managed lanes and two to three frontage roads lanes in each direction.

The virtual hearing can be viewed any time from 5 p.m. on July 11 through 11:59 p.m. on July 26. To access the virtual meeting, click here.

Any materials presented at the virtual and in-person public hearings will be identical. All comments must be postmarked or received by July 26.
