Traffic Alert: 1 person killed in fiery crash on I-30, officials say

One person died after a crash caused a car to burst into flames on I-30 Sunday, officials say.

DALLAS — One person died after a two-vehicle crash caused a car to catch on fire Sunday, officials said. 

Emergency officials responded to reports of a crash around 5:49 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 22 on Interstate 30 near Jim Miller Road, according to a press release from Dallas Fire Rescue. 

One of the vehicles involved in the crash burst into flames with one occupant inside, officials said. Dallas Fire-Rescue confirmed one person died as a result of the crash. 

A second unit was dispatched to evaluate the driver of the other vehicle, the release states.
