The one-vehicle crash happened just before 4:30 a.m. after a Jeep lost control and crashed through a guardrail, ejecting the male driver, killing him instantly.

Editor's Note: Dallas police originally said a female passenger was ejected and died at the scene, but then corrected that information.

DALLAS -- The northbound lanes of Interstate 35E have reopened after a deadly accident near the intersection of Northwest Highway.

The one-vehicle crash happened just before 4:30 a.m. after a Jeep lost control and crashed through a guardrail, ejecting the male driver, killing him instantly.

A male passenger also not wearing a seatbelt was ejected as well. He was taken to an area hospital where he is in critical condition.

A third passenger was also in the Jeep, but she was wearing her seatbelt and wasn't injured.
