RICHARDSON, Texas — Starting Friday, the north and southbound HOV lanes for the U.S. Highway 75 Central Expressway will be closed for most of the weekend during the next few months.
Construction crews will be there from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. every Friday and Saturday night until July 24.
For the northbound lanes, the closure will be from just south of Galatyn Parkway to the Pres. George Bush Turnpike. The southbound lane closure will start north of Plano Parkway and end at Galatyn Parkway.
They'll be under construction for the Silver Line bridge for the Dallas Area Rapid Transit system (DART). The bridge will connect the CityLine/Bush Station to a station at UT Dallas, which is also under construction.
Starting from DFW Airport, The Silver Line project is set to include 10 stations within 7 cities: Grapevine, Coppell, Dallas, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson and Plano.
