LEWISVILLE, Texas — Parts of I-35E in Lewisville will be shut down for a time this weekend as crews will be working to demolish the Main Street Bridge, officials say.
Work on the demolition is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. Friday and last through 11 a.m. Saturday. They will be closed once again at 9 p.m. on Saturday and reopen at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
During this time, all northbound I-35E traffic will be required to take Exit 451 at Main Street and Fox Avenue. This lane closure will start near Corporate Drive.
All entrance ramps on this side of I-35E will also be closed starting near Corporate Drive, including ramps coming from Business 121 and Fox Avenue.
On southbound I-35E, all traffic will have to take Exit 452 at Main Street, with the lane closure starting north of Justin Road.
The entrance ramp from Justin Road on this side of I-35E will be closed during this time as well.
Police will be at Business 121 and Main Street intersections to help control traffic.
