DALLAS, Texas — The section of IH-635 between T I Boulevard and Royal Lane/Miller Road will only have one lane open for both eastbound and westbound traffic. The multiple lane closures will begin everyday at 9 p.m. and last until 5 a.m. the following morning through Thursday, June 6.

The partial shutdown will coincide with nightly road work affecting the Dallas High Five Interchange, where US-75 and IH-635 meet. The direct connector ramp to IH-635 eastbound from US-75 will continue to be closed off to drivers at night through June 6.

The IH-635 eastbound frontage road can still be accessed from Central Expressway by exiting Greenville Avenue (Exit 18A) and following signage to the eastbound IH-635 entrance ramp at Forest Lane.

The closure is part of ongoing construction for the IH-635 East Project.

The $1.74 billion construction initiative, led by the Texas Department of Transportation, is aimed at enhancing mobility, operations, and safety along Interstate IH-635 in Dallas County. The project covers an 11-mile stretch from North Dallas to Mesquite, starting just east of US-75 and ending at Interstate 30.
