MESQUITE, Texas — Starting Monday, June 24, drivers will have to adjust to a new traffic pattern connecting westbound I-30 to northbound I-635, officials said.

The new connector at exit 56B will open on Monday, according to a press release from the Texas Department of Transportation. Drivers must now remain in the right lane along westbound I-30 before reaching Galloway Avenue to access the ramp, according to the release.

The old exit ramp will be closed, according to the release.

If drivers miss the ramp the next available exit to turn around is at Motley Drive, Exit 55.

The change is opposite to the current lane configuration, officials said.

"Drivers are urged to use extreme caution as traffic adjusts, especially during the Monday commute times," the release reads.
