ARLINGTON, Texas — Beware of westbound lanes on Interstate 30 this weekend, North Texas drivers.
There will be significant construction closures in place that will effect traffic in Arlington.
Here is a look at the construction closures for the area:
I-30 Westbound main lanes
- Continuous, April 22, 8 p.m. to April 25, 5 a.m.: I-30 westbound main lanes will be closed between Six Flags Drive and SH 360 Friday night through Sunday to perform pavement repairs. Traffic will be directed to exit Six Flags Drive, follow the I-30 westbound frontage road, and re-enter from the AT&T Way/Baird Farm Road entrance ramp. Officials said to expect significant delays.
I-30 Eastbound Entrance from SH 360/Six Flags Dr.
- Overnight, April 21, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.: The I-30 eastbound entrance from SH 360/Six Flags Drive will be closed for paving operations and traffic switch. Traffic will be directed on the I-30 westbound frontage road to AT&T Way/Baird Farm Road to access the eastbound entrance ramp.
SH 360 Northbound Exit to I-30/Six Flags Dr./Lamar Blvd./Ave. J
- Overnight, April 21, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.: The SH 360 northbound exit to I-30/Six Flags Drive/Lamar Boulevard/Ave. J will be closed for pavement striping operations. Traffic will be directed to exit SH 180/Division Street and continue on the SH 360 northbound frontage road.
Officials advise commuters seek alternate routes.
The construction comes as part of the $233 million Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Interstate 30/SH 360 Interchange Project.
