DALLAS, Texas — Southbound traffic on Interstate 35E in southern Dallas was blocked off for hours Tuesday.
According to TxDOT, an 18-wheeler jackknifed, spilling fuel and blocking all three lanes of IH-35E southbound traffic just after the Laureland Road exit.
The accident happened around 8:30 a.m. during rainy conditions.
Cleanup crews were expected to work through mid-afternoon Tuesday to dilute the fuel spilled across the interstate. By noon, all the southbound lanes of IH-35E were closed from U.S. 67 to Camp Wisdom Road as traffic was diverted to the service road.
