DALLAS — A crash has shut down part of the President George Bush Turnpike in Irving Wednesday morning, according to officials.
The wreck closed off the southbound lanes of the turnpike at MacArthur Boulevard. Drivers were being redirected to the Royal Lane exit.
Irving police posted about the wreck on social media, saying the Texas DPS and clean-up crews will be in the area for some time.
Details about the crash are unclear. Irving police said the crash involved a semi and a trailer, but Texas DPS told WFAA that an 18-wheeler struck a guard rail and caught fire.
No injuries have been reported.
