A Fort Worth police officer was treated and released from the hospital after a crash involving another car with four passengers.

FORT WORTH, Texas — A Fort Worth police officer was hospitalized after a two-car crash, according to police.

The Fort Worth Police Department told WFAA the collision happened on Monday afternoon near the intersection of Meadowbrook Drive and East Loop 820 in Fort Worth.

Fort Worth Police said four people were in the other car, a red Dodge Charger. At this time, we do not know the condition of those passengers, or how many of them were taken to the hospital.

FWPD said the officer was taken to a local hospital, and she is expected to be OK. She was released from the hospital Monday night.
