FORT WORTH, Texas — Heads up, drivers. There will be an Interstate 20 closure expected to effect Fort Worth traffic from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily from Monday, May 9, to Thursday, May 12.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) said westbound I-20 will be reduced down to one lane from Hulen Street to Winscott Road. The closure is happening due to bridge construction activities, weather permitting, TxDOT said.
The closure was originally scheduled to take place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7, but was later pushed back.
This is the area of I-20 near the Hulen Mall in southwest Fort Worth.
TxDOT said various ramp closures may also be necessary.
Alternate routes are advised during these times, TxDOT said.
