FORT WORTH, Texas — Fort Worth officials closed off a part of I-30 Sunday morning to address a deadly accident.
The incident was reported at about 6:45 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the highway near Eastchase Parkway. Drivers were being directed to the exit.
The lanes have since reopened.
Police tell WFAA that a vehicle was driving west on I-30 when it swerved off of the highway. The vehicle then got back on the highway and crossed all lanes of traffic before it was hit by other vehicles.
The driver of the vehicle was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, Fort Worth police said.
