FORT WORTH, Texas — One person died and two others were seriously injured after a car crashed into a pole overnight, Fort Worth police said.
The crash happened near 3011 NW 27th St. in Fort Worth's historic Northside neighborhood. Officers expect that the street will be shut down for "a while." A car carrying multiple people was driving fast before hitting a telephone pole, police told WFAA.
Two people were ejected from the car and taken to a hospital in serious condition. An adult woman was trapped inside the car and died on the scene, police said.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, police said.
