Southbound I-35E shut down after printer-hauling semi-truck turns over in crash

A Jeep and an another SUV were also involved in the crash, which happened around 5:30 a.m., south of Illinois Avenue through Oak Cliff.

DALLAS — A semi-truck hauling printers overturned on Interstate 35E, causing the highway to be shut down Wednesday morning, officials said.

A Jeep and an another SUV were also involved in the crash, which happened around 5:30 a.m., south of Illinois Avenue through Oak Cliff.

No injuries were reported, but the crash was expected to cause heavy backups.

Three southbound lanes were initially blocked, but Dallas County Sheriff's Office officials planned to shut the highway down in that direction. Traffic was being diverted to Illinois.

Officials said the semi-truck trailer would need to be unloaded before it could be turned upright.

That wasn't the only major traffic issues on North Texas roads Wednesday morning.

Traffic was heavily backed up along southbound U.S. 75 through Richardson after a crash near Collins Boulevard.

Only one lane was getting by for more than an hour. Lanes were reopened shortly before 7 a.m.
