DALLAS — A man died after he was struck by a vehicle along Interstate 35E in Northwest Dallas early Tuesday, police said.
Deputies were sent to the scene, near Northwest Highway, around 1:15 a.m. When they got there, they saw Dallas police and fire crews blocking all southbound lanes of the highway.
According to the sheriff's office, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at 1:22 a.m.
Officials told WFAA that deputies talked to the driver of a vehicle at the scene that was damaged on the front right side. They believe that was the vehicle that struck the pedestrian while he was walking in the right lane of traffic.
The medical examiner was working to identify the victim, and detectives were reaching out to the man's family.
No one has been charged for the crash, officials said.
All lanes were reopened by 6:05 a.m.
