DUNCANVILLE, Texas — Parts of southbound Interstate 635 to U.S. 80 were briefly closed overnight following a police chase, officials said Tuesday morning.
The incident came to an end around 4:30 a.m., and the highway lanes were reopened about an hour later.
The incident started earlier in the morning in Duncanville, where police officers observed an SUV driving on three wheels and attempted to stop it, according to a press release from the Duncanville Police Department.
Officers pursued the car and the chase ended in Mesquite when Mesquite police assisted with spikes, according to the release. The driver, a man, was arrested and charged with a DWI and evading arrest, police said.
