Pedestrian using a wheelchair hit, killed in hit-and-run crash in Dallas, police say

Dallas police responded to a hit-and-run crash at 9:35 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29 in the 5900 block of Abrams Road, according to a press release.

DALLAS — Dallas police are investigating a hit-and-run crash after a person using a wheelchair was hit and killed by a car, police said. 

Police responded to reports of a crash around 9:35 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29 at Abrams Road and E Northwest Highway, Dallas police on the scene told WFAA. 

Officers found that a person using a wheelchair was attempting to cross the road when they were hit, police said. The pedestrian was found dead on the scene and the suspect did not stop the help, police said. 

Police did not provide a description of the suspect's vehicle.
