DALLAS — A truck crash and fire blocked lanes and backed up traffic along the LBJ Freeway/I-635 in Northwest Dallas on Wednesday morning.
Several westbound main lanes and a shoulder were blocked by the incident, which was reported near Midway Road around 7:15 a.m., according to the Texas Department of Transportation. Traffic cameras from the area showed the cab of a semi-truck fully engulfed in flames, though crews were able to extinguish the fire by around 7:30 a.m.
More details about how the crash happened or if any injuries were reported was not immediately available. The incident backed up traffic for several miles along LBJ, but some of the lanes were clearing by 8 a.m.
