DALLAS — A motorcyclist was killed early Wednesday morning after they struck a dog lying on the road and then was hit by another vehicle, according to the Dallas Sheriff's Office.
Dallas officials responded to a crash around 3 a.m. on westbound Interstate 30 near Westmoreland Road, according to a social media post from the Dallas Sheriff's Office.
A motorcyclist was killed in the crash, which involved a car and motorcycle, the post states. Two left lanes were blocked around 3 a.m. and were reopened by about 5 a.m.
The motorcyclist hit a dog lying in the roadway and crashed falling off the bike, officials said. The motorcyclist was then hit by another vehicle.
