Dallas Pride Parade Festivities: Start time, where to park and more you need to know

Dallas Pride has a big milestone to celebrate, which will likely draw even bigger crowds!

DALLAS — Dallas Pride has a big milestone to celebrate this Pride Month – 40 years!

There's a lot going on to celebrate during the month of June all over North Texas, which you can find in our Pride guide.

But for this weekend, we want to help you get to the big celebrations in Dallas at Fair Park.

On Saturday, the Dallas Pride Music Festival is going down all day – starting at 11 a.m. Then on Sunday, the big parade starts at 2 p.m.

Now ... if you know you know ... Fair Park can be confusing!

Here's some advice:

If you're driving, self parking will be available at Fair Park for $10 per day. You can use exit 48B off IH-30 if you're coming from east of downtown. Then, you can enter through gates two, five or six.

Organizers told WFAA they don't set parking prices or get any revenue from that.

If you don’t want to worry about keys an parking, call an Uber or Lyft and have them drop you off at the ride share lot. It’s located at the southwest corner of First Avenue and Parry Avenue. The location is shaded purple on the Fair Park-Dallas Pride map.

Or consider taking DART to fair park! The bus line will operate on a Saturday schedule for festival day and on a Sunday schedule for parade day.

There is no TRE service on Sunday.

Have so much fun celebrating 40 years of Pride in Dallas, and stay hydrated because you know it will be a hot one!
