DALLAS — A wrong-way crash sparked a large fire that closed the N Central Expressway for several hours Thursday morning, officials said.
Officers were called to an accident call at around 2:30 a.m. in the 5400 block of N Central Expressway, according to a release from the Dallas Police Department.
Investigators found that the suspect in the crash was driving north in the southbound lanes of N Central Expressway when they crashed into the victim's vehicle.
Dallas Fire Rescue responded and the victim was transported to a hospital for treatment, police said.
The suspect is in custody and charges are pending, according to the release. The incident is still under investigation, police said.
