DALLAS COUNTY, Texas — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on westbound I-30 Monday morning, causing Dallas County officials to shut down the highway.

The Dallas County Sheriff's Office closed off the highway by the exit to St. Francis Avenue. It was reopened at about 7:30 a.m.
Officials told WFAA that the incident itself was reported at about 4 a.m.
The sheriff's office also said the driver who struck the pedestrian did stop. That person will not be charged at this time.
