DENTON COUNTY, Texas — Three people are dead following a crash involving six vehicles on I-35W at Crawford Road in Denton County Friday night.
All traffic on northbound I-35W was shut down while personnel worked the major vehicle crash in the area, according to Denton County Emergency Services District No. 1.
According to Argyle Police Chief Emmitt Jackson, a total of six people were taken to the hospital -- four to Medical City Denton and two to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.
On Saturday, Jackson provided an update that three people died as a result of the crash, which appeared to be two accidents at the same location.
Those killed in the accident were 69-year-old Odilia Orozco Gonzalez de Alvarez, 63-year-old Gladis Orozco Gonzalez De Cifuentes, and 65-year-old Elia Orozco.
