COOKE COUNTY, Texas — A motorcyclist died after hitting a trailer on Interstate 35 in Cooke County Wednesday, officials said.
The crash occurred at 9:16 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23 on Interstate 35 near Lone Oak Road in Cooke County, the Texas Department of Public Safety said in a release.
Dean Cornelius, 30, of Gainesville was driving north on I-35 at a high rate of speed when it hit the back of a trailer, officials said. Cornelius died at the scene.
The person driving the trailer, 48-year-old Brian Kennedy, was not injured, the department said.
Officials are investigating the incident, according to the release.
