ARLINGTON, Texas — A man died after his car crashed into a barrier a caught fire on Interstate 30, Arlington police said.
Police responded to reports of a fiery crash on Wednesday, June 5, at 8:06 p.m. on the westbound Interstate 30 off-ramp near Baird Farm Road, according to a press release from Arlington police. When officers arrived they found a Dodge Charger had crashed into a concrete barrier and the vehicle was engulfed.
After the fire was extinguished, police located the driver inside the vehicle, police said. Investigators have not been able to identify the victim.
The incident is under investigation and high speed was likely a factor in the crash, police said.
