ARLINGTON, Texas — A 21-year-old woman died after a rollover crash in Arlington on Sunday, officials said.
Officers responded to reports of a rolled-over Dodge Charger around 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Browning Drive, Arlington Police said in a statement.
The 21-year-old, who was the passenger in the Charger, was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver, 23-year-old Atlandis Brown, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Arlington investigators believe Brown was driving fast when she lost control of the car. The Charger went off the road and hit a tree and privacy fence, police said. The women were not wearing seatbelts and police believe Brown was intoxicated, according to the statement.
When released from the hospital, Brown will be arrested and charged with one count of Intoxication Manslaughter, police said.
Arlington police are continuing to investigate the incident and believe Brown may have been involved in a road rage incident moments before the crash, according to police.
Officials did not release the name of the victim.
