ARLINGTON, Texas — One person was killed and another person is in critical condition Sunday after a truck crashed on Interstate 30 near Fielder Road, police said.
Officers responded to a single-vehicle crash around 3:40 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-30 near Fielder Road, according to a press release from Arlington Police.
The F-150 truck went off the road and hit a sign pillar and guard rail, the release states.
The truck's driver, identified by the medical examiner as 31-year-old Roberto Gavia, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, a 32-year-old woman, was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.
The wreck was cleared and all lanes on I-30 have since reopened, police said.
