PLANO, Texas — A global tech company is joining the ranks of companies moving headquarters from California to Texas.
Simplilearn, which provides training for digital skills, has moved to a building in Plano near the Dallas North Tollway and 121. The relocation comes after the company’s founder CEO Krishna Kumar moved to Texas several quarters ago, the company said.
"Our move to Texas marks a pivotal moment in our journey, driven by our commitment to being at the forefront of a thriving tech ecosystem and tapping into a diverse talent pool,” Kumar said. “Establishing our headquarters here positions us to better empower professionals with the skills needed to excel in a digital-first world. We are excited to engage with this vibrant community and contribute to the growth of the digital economy across the U.S. and around the world.”
Simplilearn, which is now based in Plano and Bangalore, India, is part of investment firm Blackstone’s portfolio after Blackstone acquired a controlling stake in the company in 2021.
Simplilearn’s new headquarters are at 5851 Legacy Circle on the sixth floor in Plano. It was previously headquartered in San Francisco.

Simplilearn joins other companies, including X, formerly Twitter, and Chevron, to announce headquarters moves from California to Texas.
