ARLINGTON, Texas — Last year, the Dallas Wings sold out of its season ticket memberships for the first time in franchise history. Now, the team has achieved sell-out status again -- and in record time.
Last year, the Wings sold out of its 2024 season tickets in April, two weeks before the team's first pre-season game. This year the memberships sold out five months earlier, according to a press release from the Dallas Wings.
Premium seating, courtside and suite inventory is also sold out, the team said.
The 2024 sell-out was tentatively attributed to the Caitlin Clark effect when the Iowa star and No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft drew new eyes to the WNBA. This year, the quick sell-out might be attributable to the Paige Bueckers effect. The UConn star is the rumored No. 1 draft pick.
And guess who won the No. 1 pick? The Dallas Wings.
Season tickets account for just under 50% of the 6,251 seats inside College Park Center in Arlington, the release states. Additional season tickets were added this year after last year's sell-out, the team said.
The remaining seats inside College Park Center are all designated for single-game or group tickets, according to the release.
The Dallas Wings established a waitlist for season ticket memberships which perks include presale access to playoff games and discounted regular season tickets, the release states.
In 2026, the team plans to move to the Dallas Memorial Auditorium at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, which has a capacity of about 10,000 and is easily accessed by public transportation.
