DALLAS — The Dallas Wings are coming off a major win against Caitlin Clark's Indiana Fever and overall it's their best season in over a decade.
On Wednesday night they begin their season at home at the College Park Center in Arlington against the Chicago Sky to a sold-out crowd.
The WNBA is reaching new heights in popularity this season thanks in large part to a star-studded rookie class. One of the biggest names is Angel Reese, who won a national championship at LSU in 2023 and was selected No. 7 overall by the Chicago Sky in the 2024 WNBA Draft last month.
The May 15 match-up will mark Reese's official WNBA debut.
The Chicago Sky also picked up Kamilla Cardoso in April's WNBA Draft. The No. 3 overall pick went down with a shoulder injury that will sideline her for four-to-six weeks.
Wings' Satou Sabally, who won Most Improved Player last season and finished fifth in MVP voting, is out until after the Olympic break due to a shoulder injury that required surgery.
The Wings went 11-9 at home a season ago while going 22-18 overall. The Wings shot 44.3% from the field and 31.7% from 3-point range last season.
Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
