DALLAS — The 2025 WNBA regular season schedule is here, and the Dallas Wings will tip off their season at home against the Minnesota Lynx on May 16.

This will be the Wings' first season under a new Executive Vice President and General Manager Curt Miller, and a new head coach that has yet to be announced. Miller comes to the Wings after spending two years as the head coach of the Los Angeles Sparks

The team says Miller is currently leading the search for the next Dallas Wings head coach.

The Wings will have the No. 1 pick in the 2025 WNBA draft -- widely expected to be UConn star Paige Bueckers -- after winning the league's draft lottery last month.

Popular TikTok food critic Keith Lee appeared in a promo release on Instagram for the schedule drop. Lee tried five DFW restaurants that represented each of the Wings' opponents - Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta and Arizona.

Last month, Lee announced he moved to the Lone Star state but didn't clarify where in Texas he moved. Could this be a hint that he's living in the Big D?

New this year, Dallas and the rest of the teams in the WNBA will each play a total of 44 regular season games this year instead of 40.

The Wings will also face a new team the Golden State Valkyries. They'll play the inaugural team four times this year, with their first meeting set for June 17.

The season will run from mid-May through the second week of September.

2025 Dallas Wings schedule highlights

First (and longest) road trip

This will run May 21 through May 29 with games vs. the Minnesota Lynx (May 21), Atlanta Dream (May 24), Connecticut Sun (May 27), and Chicago Sky (May 29).

Another stretch will run from Aug. 29 through Sept. 7 with games vs. the Atlanta Dream (Aug. 29), Minnesota Lynx (Sept. 1), Golden State Valkyries (Sept. 4), and the Los Angeles Sparks (Sept. 7).

Longest homestand

From June 24 through Aug. 1 the Wings will host games vs. the Atlanta Dream (June 24), Indiana Fever (June 27), Washington Mystics (June 28), Phoenix Mercury (July 3), Las Vegas Aces (July 27), New York Liberty (July 28), Atlanta Dream (July 30) and Indiana Fever (Aug. 1).

Defending champs

Dallas will play the defending WNBA Champions, the New York Liberty, at home on Monday, July 28, then travel to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Aug. 5. Then will return home at College Park Center in a third matchup three days later on Aug. 8.

Commissioner's Cup:

All games played during the two-week period from June 1-17 will serve as Commissioner’s Cup qualifying games.

Teams will play either three Commissioner’s Cup games at home and two on the road, or two at home and three on the road. All Commissioner’s Cup games will be a part of the team’s 44-game schedule and will count toward the team’s regular-season win-loss record.

The team from each conference with the top record in Commissioner’s Cup games will then compete for a $500,000 prize pool in the Commissioner’s Cup Championship, which will be played on Tuesday, July 1, at the arena of the team with the best record in Cup play.

Is this the Wings' year?

The Wings are entering their 10th season in DFW this year.

With their No. 1 pick in tow, the Wings will seek to return to the playoffs after an injury-plagued 9-31 run in 2024. It will be the franchise's first No. 1 overall pick since 2021, when Dallas selected Charli Collier, but marks the first time the organization won the lottery.

The Wings have already sold out of its 2025 season ticket memberships for the second time in franchise history.
