Dallas Wings trade Allisha Gray to Atlanta Dream

The Gray trade comes days after the Wings made a blockbuster, three-team trade earlier this week.

DALLAS — The Dallas Wings have traded guard Allisha Gray to the Atlanta Dream in exchange for the Dream's first round pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft (third overall) and first round pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft.

“I would like to thank Allisha for all she has done for our organization while wearing a Wings uniform,” President and CEO Greg Bibb said in a press release.” “From the day we drafted her in 2017, she has been the consummate professional and teammate on and off the court. I wish her and her family all the best moving forward.”

Gray played six seasons for Dallas and averaged 11.7 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in her time with the Wings. She also won the 2017 Rookie of the Year award.

The Gray trade comes after the Wings acquired 3-time WNBA champion Natasha Howard, as well as the playing rights to 2020 WNBA Rookie of the Year Crystal Dangerfield, in a three-team blockbuster trade earlier this week. In this trade made on Monday, the Wings sent forward Kayla Thornton to New York and guard Ty Harris to Connecticut.

Gray posted a thank you note to Dallas on her social media

The Dallas Wings will kick off their season against the Atlanta Dream on Saturday, May 20, under new head coach Latricia Trammell
