THE COLONY, Texas — Remember the "TopGolf-like soccer" venue slated to come to Dallas in early 2023?
It was scrapped, but Alex Harman, the President of TOCA Social at TOCA Football told WFAA in August 2023 they were still looking at other options. Well, there's a new location and date for the entertainment venue.
TOCA Social and Major League Soccer announced a partnership to bring the first U.S. location to The Grandscape in The Colony. The venue is slated to open in the summer of 2025 in advance of the World Cup.
Harman told WFAA in an email that "the Design District project was more complex than originally thought and mutually agreed with the Landlord not to proceed."
"Following the success of our other venues in the UK, we decided to look at existing entertainment/hospitality destinations where there would be an existing footfall," Harman added." "Grandscape are the perfect partners and the team has been fantastic to work with."
Harman told WFAA the venue would be located "in the heart of the Grandscape entertainment district, with close neighbors including Cosm, Sixes Cricket, Andretti, Fireside Surf, Immersive Gamebox and Popstroke."

The first TOCA Social venue opened in London to huge success and was recently named winner of the 2024 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards, TOCA officials said. The second venue opened in Birmingham, England this past June.

TOCA Social Dallas is the beginning of a planned expansion across major U.S. cities, officials said in a release, as TOCA aims to bring its unique blend of soccer and entertainment to a wider audience.

In October 2022, TOCA football announced a 10-year partnership with Major League Soccer aimed at growing the sport and developing America's future players. TOCA Football operates five Indoor Soccer Training Centers in the DFW area: Mansfield, The Colony, Keller, Carrollton and Allen.
