Dallas Stars' Jason Robertson is set to compete in the NHL All-Star skills competition. Here's how you can watch

Here's how and when you can watch Robertson compete.

DALLAS — The NHL All-Star weekend starts on Friday, Feb. 3, with its seven skill competition events and runs through Saturday, Feb. 4 for the game, which will air on WFAA.

The only Dallas Stars player competing this weekend is Jason Robertson, who is among the league leaders in points and goals. Dallas Stars coach Pete DeBoer will coach the Central Division team for All-Star weekend.

This marks Robertson's first All-Star berth in his career. He'll be playing in both the All-Star game and the Pitch ‘n Puck event during the skills competition.

Here's how and when you can watch Robertson compete:

How to watch NHL All-Star Weekend

Dates: Friday, Feb. 3 and Saturday, Feb. 4

Time: Skills competition, 6 p.m. Friday; All-Star Game, 2 p.m. Saturday

Location: FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Fla.

TV: Skills competition: ESPN and ESPN+

All-Star Game: Broadcast on WFAA with a simulcast on ESPN+ and an “All-Star Watch” feed on ESPN+.

Skill Competition events

Four of the traditional skills events (fastest skater, hardest shot, breakaway challenge and accuracy shooting) return this year, but there are also three new events. The winner of each event will earn $30,000.

  • Splash Shot: Competition takes place on the beach in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The ocean spray, breeze and sand add to the challenge of this exceptional Skills event, as four pairs of players fire at targets to attempt to dunk their opponents.
  • Pitch ‘n’ Puck: Using a combination of hockey and golf shots, four NHL All-Stars will play a par 4 featuring an island green. Lowest score wins the Chipotle NHL Pitch 'n Puck.
  • Tendy Tandem: Eight goaltenders will participate in this event, with one goalie from each division designated the shooting goalie and one the in-net goalie. The shooting goalies will earn points based on the accuracy of their shots at the net, and the in-net goalies will face rushes of three, two or one player(s), based on the number of points earned by the shooting goalie in their tandem.

All-Star game information

The All-Star game is a four-team 3-on-3 tournament. Robertson and DeBoer represent the Central Division and will take on the Pacific Division at 2 p.m. If they win, they'll face the winner of the Metropolitan vs. Atlantic matchup in a championship game scheduled for 4 p.m.
