DALLAS — As the Dallas Stars continue their electrifying post-season run, you may be wondering: When was the last time the Stars made it to the Stanley Cup Final?

You don't really have to go that far back to find the answer. The Stars last made it to the Stanley Cup Final during the 2019-2020 season.

They fell short to the Tampa Bay Lightning that year, 4-2 in the seven-game series. What made it more memorable was that it was in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic and it was played in a "bubble."

Prior to that appearance, the Stars went 18 seasons without making it to the Final.

In the 1999-2000 season, the Stars faced the New Jersey Devils, also falling short 4-2 in the seven-game series.

However, the season prior to that was when the Stars were able to capture the heavily sought-after Stanley Cup when they defeated the Buffalo Sabers in an ironic 4-2 series.

So, can the Stars defeat the Edmonton Oilers and make another historic run at the Stanley Cup? We will soon know the answer.
