DALLAS — Otters stick together.
Hours before the puck dropped for Game 5 of the Western Conference Final between the Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers, the Dallas Zoo wanted to let the #TexasHockey netminder know his cheering squad was ready for the game.
"Our Oetter cheer squad is ready for tonight's game! Let's go @dallasstars. 💚," the zoo posted on X.
"The squad is ready! Are y’all? 🦦," the Stars replied on X.
The little furry friends were very talkative in the video, so surely they were rooting on their pal, Jake "Otter" Oettinger. Oettinger will need to perform well in between the pipes if Dallas wants to advance to the Stanley Cup Final. The Stars and Oilers enter Game 5 all even 2-2 in the series.
The puck drops for Game 5 at 7:30 p.m. CST at the American Airlines Center. Game 6 will return to Edmonton, where either the Stars or Oilers will have a chance to close out the series depending on Friday night's result.
