DALLAS — The Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced Wednesday that the organization traded forward Ty Dellandrea to the San Jose Sharks for a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.
According to the club, the fourth-round pick was previously acquired by the Sharks from the Winnipeg Jets.
Dellandrea, who was selected by the Stars in the first round of the 2018 NHL Draft, played in 151 regular-season games, scoring 42 goals, including one in the 2024 Stanly Cup Playoffs.
In the 2023-2024 season, Dellandrea appeared in 42 regular-season games, recording nine points and 23 penalty minutes.
The Stars thanked Dellandrea for his time spent with the club on X.
This move comes shortly after the Stars wrapped up their season against the Edmonton Oilers in the Western Conference Final as they lost the series 4-2.
Despite their shortcomings of a Stanley Cup Final appearance, the Stars had a commendable season as they were able to go 59-21, taking first place in the NHL Central Division.
