DALLAS — The Dallas Stars earned the top seed in the Western Conference after a stellar regular season, including a shootout win in their finale Wednesday night. Their reward? Now they get to play the defending Stanley Cup champions.
The Vegas Knights lost to the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday night and slipped into the eighth and final seed in the Western Conference, setting up a rematch of last year's Western Conference finals, which Vegas won before ultimately winning a championship.
This time around, Dallas will have home ice advantage, with Game 1 set for Monday, April 22, at American Airlines Center in Dallas. The series will stay in Dallas for Game 2 before shifting to Vegas' T-Mobile Arena for Games 3 and 4. The final three if-necessary games will alternate between Dallas and Vegas, with the Stars getting Games 5 and 7 at home.
