New murals pop up in Dallas during Mavericks, Stars playoff runs

Numerous mural displays have popped up in the Dallas area amid this playoff run by the Mavericks and Stars.

DALLAS — Dallas' sports scene is buzzing like never before.

The Rangers just won the World Series last fall, and now for the first time ever, the Mavericks and Stars have advanced to their respective conference finals at the same time.

American Airlines Center – where both the Mavs and Stars play their games – has been hosting playoff matchups multiple times per week, and Dallas sports fans are loving it.

The vibes around the city are immaculate and murals are popping up around, too, during this historic postseason run. A Stars-themed mural was created on the side of a 7-Eleven on Mockingbird Lane, as well as one across the street from Trader Joe's in Lower Greenville

Meanwhile, love for the Mavericks can be seen around town as well. This one is on the wall of a 7-Eleven on Abrams Avenue:

And fans can take photos with this combined Mavericks-Stars mural, which is located The Shops at Park Lane at a grass park between Starbucks and CAVA:

American Airlines is only the sixth arena all-time to host NBA and NHL conference finals simultaneously since 1982. Only three of those five had a team win a title. No arena has ever won both.
