DETROIT — Oz Pearlman, also known as "Oz the Mentalist," just pulled off one of the most incredible feats in the history of the NFL Draft.
On the Pat McAfee Show's draft spectacular, the magician predicted with 100% accuracy the first 13 picks of the 2024 NFL Draft. Before the draft even started, Pearlman had multiple members of the panel sign a closed envelope and taped it to the chest of Conner Campbell, who goes by "Boston Conner."
"We're gonna revisit this later in the draft," Pearlman said at the time.
Pearlman came back on the show about two hours later – after the Las Vegas Raiders had just picked Georgia tight end Brock Bowers No. 13 overall – to reveal what he had taped to Campbell's chest.
First, the envelope's contents revealed a prediction of a card trick with A.J. Hawk. But that was just the beginning. The NFL Draft (and signed) branded envelope had two other envelopes inside, which were also sealed shut: A tan one and a blue one.
The tan envelope contained the Super Bowl prediction by another member of the Pat McAfee Show, Ty Schmidt's character "Mad Mel." Pearlman correctly predicted Schmidt would say the Green Bay Packers would beat the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 34-27.
But that's not all.
For the finale, it correctly predicted the No. 13 pick would be Georgia tight end Brock Bowers to the Las Vegas Raiders. And then a rolled up section at the bottom of the card predicted every pick that had happened prior, including the trade Minnesota made with New York to get J.J. McCarthy.
All 13 picks. Down to a tee.
