Why do people line up and sprint into Cowboys home games?

DALLAS — It happens every Dallas Cowboys home game -- be it the regular season or the playoffs.

Fans line up outside of the gates at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, and two and a half hours before kickoff, they sprint through the doors as soon as the workers unlock and open them to the masses.

But... why?

Well, it's pretty simple, actually: These people have tickets to the game -- but they don't have seats.

Each home game, the Cowboys sell standing room-only tickets in addition to their seated ones. These tickets offer access to the concourse-level end zone plaza areas on either side of the stadium.

It's generally these people who line up outside the stadium each home game. They sprint inside because they're trying to get a prime viewing spot on the plazas.

It makes for some crazy visuals each home game, for sure. But, at this point, it's also just par for course.

In other words: It's just part of the standard operation that Jerry Jones and the Cowboys brass have cooked up as part of their concerted spectacle each gameday.
