Ezekiel Elliott has a checkered off-the-field past in his 18 months as a member of the Dallas Cowboys.
He was suspended six games over domestic violence allegations made against him in July of 2016. A two-month legal battle has ensued, with a Texas judge granting an injunction that kept Elliott on the field.
On Thursday, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans vacated that injunction, clearing the way for the suspension to be reinstated.
Other extra-curricular activities off the field have drawn the ire of the Cowboys' brass. Elliott has, however, given back to the community in a big way since becoming a Cowboy.
