Cowboys troll master Stephen A. Smith sat down 1-on-1 with Jerry Jones. Here's how it went.

Jones talked about numerous topics with Stephen A. Smith on the eve of the 2024 NFL Season, including contract negotiations with Dak, CeeDee and Micah.

FRISCO, Texas — For Dallas Cowboys fans ... it was probably a sight for sore eyes.

Jerry Jones sitting down with none other than the biggest Cowboys troll of them all: Stephen A. Smith.

On the eve of the NFL season kicking off in 2024, the First Take host sat down one-on-one with the Cowboys owner and general manager on his own podcast show, The Stephen A. Smith Show. With the practice field at The Star in Frisco as a backdrop, the two men sat down with microphones and discussed all the hot topics of the Cowboys offseason.

Jones opened up to Smith about not signing running back Derrick Henry (he owns a home in DFW and trains here in the offseason); contract negotiations with Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons; and the legacy of America's Team and upcoming season expectations.

Since it is still ongoing, Prescott's contract was probably the most hot-button issue.

"We have the challenge of not only recouping what we have spent on him over the last four years, we’ve gotta add that to what we’re gonna be paying him for the future," Jones said in part.
