DALLAS — We're still two days away from the NFL's official schedule release, but the league has already revealed a few nuggets to satisfy fans' appetites.
Monday, the NFL confirmed the Dallas Cowboys will hit the road to play the Cleveland Browns to open the 2024 regular season on Sept. 8. The matchup will kick off at 3:25 p.m. and be featured as "America's Game of the Week" on Fox.
As the Week 1 showdown will be Fox's top game, it was also announced Monday that it will be NFL legend Tom Brady's debut as the network's lead game analyst with play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt. Brady will replace Greg Olson in the booth after signing a reported $375 million contract. Brady retired before last season after winning seven Super Bowls.
The Cowboys will have nine home games and eight away games this season, with the Philadelphia Eagles also coming to AT&T Stadium along with teams like the New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions, among others.
The road lineup features the Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers, among others.
In 2023, Dallas tied for the most primetime games (6) alongside the Bills, Chargers and Chiefs.
This will be the Cowboys' 33rd all-time meeting against the Browns (including the playoffs), with Cleveland leading the overall series 18-14.
The entire NFL schedule will be unveiled at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
