Dallas Cowboys football is on the horizon.
The team on Thursday announced its official training camp schedule. They'll depart for California on July 24, when they'll make their annual visit to Point Mugu Naval Air Station about 10 miles outside their ultimate destination in Oxnard.
The "state of the team" press conference – in which Jason Garrett will cliché his way through a littany of questions from the media – takes place July 25, with the first practice of camp coming the following afternoon.
The official opening ceremony – a formal welcome to the fans – and the first padded practice will take place that Friday.
The Cowboys break camp Aug. 17 and return to North Texas after a preseason game against the Bengals. Training camp practices will resume at The Star in Frisco. No official dates have been announced for those practices.
