Dallas Cowboys trade for Panthers WR Jonathan Mingo

Mingo was a second-round pick for the Panthers last season. Jerry Jones said in his weekly radio interview they really liked Mingo in that draft.

DALLAS — The Dallas Cowboys are trading for Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jonathan Mingo, sources confirm to WFAA. 

WFAA Sports Anchor Joe Trahan confirmed the Cowboys will be sending a 2025 fourth-round pick in the deal. The Cowboys will get back Mingo and a 2025 seventh-round pick. 

Mingo, 23, was a second-round pick for the Panthers last season, catching 43 passes for 418 yards. This season, Mingo has 12 passes for 121 yards in nine games. 

Team owner and general manager Jerry Jones teased the trade during his weekly interview on 105.3 The Fan. In his interview, Jones told Shan and RJ "we're buying not selling.

The trade deadline is 3 p.m. CT on Tuesday.
